Course Summary
This BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Training with Foundation Year course provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to begin work in one of the most diverse and rewarding sectors of the animal industry. This course will develop your knowledge and skills in animal behaviour and ethology, whilst exploring the ethics and key legislation necessary for anyone working with animals.
Animal behaviour is an extremely popular and diverse sector within the animal industry.
This is a four year course where the foundation phase is integrated and studied across the first two years of the programme. You will study additional modules alongside core Level 4 course modules. In the first year you will be supported to develop scientific knowledge of anatomy and physiology through the development of a learning toolkit portfolio. You will also engage with applied learning that links your academic studies to professional practice. In your second year you will be given individual supervision to enhance your independent learning skills as you progress through the courses.
This course is validated in partnership with Coventry University.

Modules are assessed using a variety of methods (real life case studies, professional projects, reports and essays, presentations and video documentaries, research dissertation) allowing you to develop a range of skills related to the subject area and to build confidence in the subject.
