**Summary** Your study of the History with Politics & International Relations BA (Hons) will provide a full understanding of how people have lived, and how states have attempted to shape and influence those lives throughout history. You will study periods from the Roman Empire through to modern day America, drawing on complex and often contradictory sources. You will also take courses examining the practice and applications of the historical discipline itself. In the Politics & IR minor, you’ll compare the political institutions of different countries, analysing their legitimacy to dictate over their subjects and how they interact with other organisations. **Teaching & Learning** You will typically experience an average of 8 or more hours of high-quality contact time in each teaching week, in considerably smaller groups than are the norm for UK institutions at the undergraduate level, if you choose to study History as your major subject. The exact number of contact hours will depend on your choice of minor subject and any optional courses. Your contact hours will include a mixture of teaching methods best suited to the subject matter and to achieve the learning outcomes for each individual course. She is currently Senior Sustainability Surveyor at Lambert Smith Hampton. Alfred (2015) took his MSt Global & Imperial History at the University of Oxford and is now an Analyst at Glenmont Partners. Johnny (2015) graduated with a role as an Associate at KPMG. He progressed to the role of Tax Consultant at Pirola Pennuto & Associati, and is currently a Forensic Accountant at BTVK Advisory. Marius (2016) graduated with a role as Product Manager at Doddle Parcelsand participated in the New Entrepreneurs Foundation Programme. He progressed to roles as Growth Manager at MyTutorand currently Growth Manager at Coconut. He is also a co-founder of Student2StartUp.
