**Summary**
Our Economics with History BSc (Hons) teaches you about the structures which affect real-life decisions and events around the world, as well as gaining a rigorous knowledge of the historical contexts leading to those events. You’ll develop the quantitative skills needed to interpret contemporary economics as practised, alongside the ability to analyse the theory behind both economic and historical study of the world.
**Teaching & Learning**
You will typically experience an average of 13 or more hours of high-quality contact time in each teaching week, in considerably smaller groups than are the norm for UK institutions at the undergraduate level, if you choose to study Economics as your major subject. The exact number of contact hours will depend on your choice of minor subject and any optional courses.
Your contact hours will include a mixture of teaching methods best suited to the subject matter and to achieve the learning outcomes for each individual course. Teaching formats include small group tutorials, seminars, and lectures of between 10 and 60 students for your degree courses.

Following summer internships at Eden McCallum and CIBC during his undergraduate degree, Charlie (2015) landed a graduate role as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank, based in Paris. He has now returned to London and is currently an Investment Banking Associate at Greenhill & Co. Sabrina (2015) took a summer internship at Shillings and landed a place at KCL in the Masters in Risk Analysis and a graduate Analyst role at Accenture. She is now a Consultant at BCS.
Nick (2017) graduated with a job as Associate Consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants.
Valentin (BSc (Hons) Economics with Politics & International Relations, 2018) is now studying for her Masters in Mechanical Engineering at UCL. Charles (BSc (Hons) Economics with Philosophy, 2018) is a Consultant at Simon Kucher & Partners.

Students studying the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) alongside three A Levels may be eligible for an alternative offer.
Please note that A Level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by NCH as one of your A Levels. We do not accept native language A Levels as part of your A Level offering.
