**Summary**
The Art History with Psychology BA (Hons) combines the study of Art History and Psychology.
Interpret moments through history by surveying architecture and landscape as well as material-specific subjects such as painting and ceramics with the Art History major. Explore world culture without geographical or temporal limits, from Europe to China and antiquity to the modern-day.
The Psychology minor explores fundamental principles, concepts, and issues in the major areas of contemporary scientific psychology, which informs your study of Art History by allowing you to dive into the social and cultural behaviours which underlie the development of art over time across the world.
This innovative degree will allow you to develop your critical thinking, analysis and applied skills, both in response to visual culture and human behaviours, giving you an edge in an ever-changing employment market.
**Where can this degree take you?**
As a new degree, the College is yet to have information about graduates of this specific programme, however the combination of our degree and Diploma can genuinely take you anywhere, and you can find details of career paths of our recent graduates via our website.
The Art History with Psychology BA (Hons) is designed to equip you with the ability to interpret visual communication across the spectrum of formats, and to enhance your understanding and interpretation through the lens of human psychology.
This specific combination of subjects will provide who with the skills that are highly valued in a wide range of careers, particularly in the creative industries such as marketing and advertising, as well as the arts and heritage sectors.
**Teaching & Learning**
You will typically experience an average of 9.5 hours of high-quality contact time in each teaching week, in considerably smaller groups than are the norm for UK institutions at the undergraduate level, if you choose to study Art History as your major subject. The exact number of contact hours will depend on your choice of any optional courses.
Your contact hours will include a mixture of teaching methods best suited to the subject matter and to achieve the learning outcomes for each individual course. Teaching formats include small group tutorials, seminars, and lectures of between 10 and 60 students for your degree courses.
